Okay, now I'm a hypocrite for this blog right here. On a recent trip to the Galleria Mall here in my home town of Cheektowaga I noticed how ridiculous people can be sometimes.

Why the hell are we paying 80 dollars for jeans made in China? Why the hell are we paying 56 dollars for a t-shirt also made in China? I thought the whole point of having goods made in China was the cheap cost of labor and production? Apparently not, because I saw those exact prices at Urban Outfitters, MetroPark and numerous other stores.

Now, I'm all for companies wanting to make money. Its commercialism at its best, but really? When a t-shirt cost .25 cents to make in China, is it really fair to ask 56 dollars for here in the US?

Chinese goods have a reputation of being cheaply made, with cheap materials, and cheap labor running the assembly lines. Is it no wonder a majority of those 56 dollar shirts rip or fade so easily? Yet the cycle continues. Even in a "bad" economy people still pay these prices. What the hell?

Oh, and to all those "trendy, earth conscience" people shopping at these stores, you do know you're just adding to those large cargo ships using gas to propel their engines from ports in China to the USA. Plus you're using new materials, which eventually will be thrown out adding to pollution issue here in the US. Why not just buy something used for cheaper, and of better quality?

Eh
