Last year it was announced that the Polaroid would be retired by its parent company (Polaroid). But thankfully the brand was purchased by another company and has since been revived. Everyone has been exposed to the polaroid's "instant" photos from their childhood. I have multiple grainy shots of me as a child blowing out candles, swimming, and just being a kid. However in recent times trendy teens have begun to make the polaroid a "indie" item. Altering images to make them appear as polaroids, with far too much yellow concentration and giving them a grainy quality in Photoshop.
If you don't feel like buying the actual Polaroid camera, you can always download the free Poladroid program. Its a small program that allows you to turn everyday photos into polaroids. Though it doesn't add the faded quality most polaroid photos come with, its a start.
The program can be found here: Poladroid

Sweet! It wouldn't be hard to add the fade in Photoshop. Thanks for the tip!
