Tuff & Tuffalo

Apparently, we people in Buffalo are "fucking" crazy.
I'm all for love of one's local sports, in fact I'm a supporter of just about anything local. But, I have to state my opinion on this cities obsession with the Buffalo Bills & The Sabres.
Its annoying. There I said it. I may get shot, raped, run out of town, or just spit on but I said it. I'm so tired of people telling me they "saw one of the Sabres at a club downtown!", or that they "FUCKING LOVE THE BILLS OMG OMG OMG!!!1". Really people? Like I said before, I support anything local. But this "obsession" people have been having lately is driving me insane.
Is it really fair for someone who can run a ball from one end of a field to another, to get paid nearly three times more than someone with an actual use for society? Lets say your a leading chemical engineer. You've developed new medications to combat AIDS, or a few microorganism to eat away oil during a major oil spills. Yet, even with all your great achievements, a man who got C-'s through out his educational career is still pulling in at least 2 million more than you. It doesn't make much sense to me.

And whats with people praising them like some sort of golden cow? Yes, watching football is fun, so is hockey but is it a religion? No. Its a bunch of men, using the large amount of testosterone in their vains against one another. In case you haven't seen the movie "Buffalo 66" I would recommend it because it gives the perfect case of a "sports idiot" in Buffalo.

In the movie, the parents of the main male character simple sit around all day in their "stuck in the 70's" house, and watch taped Bills games for enjoyment.

The sad thing is, there are people like that in this city.

Eh, I've ranted for too long. Just wanted to get my point across.


Pick up a book, get off your ass and go for a walk or something else that will get rid of those love handles.

Every Sunday does not need to be dedicated to the Bills. They arn't God.
