Lesley Gore - You Don't Own Me

I love road trips, but I need an amazing mixed CD for the ride. So when I go on my bi-weekly trip out to the reservation I need a good cd to jam out in my mini van (laugh if you want. It hurts when you get hit by a mini van). So I set out to make a mix CD of 50's and 60's music. I had a lot of fun making it, all the music seems to make me want to go to the beach.

Many of you know the song "Its My Party", though many of you may not know who it is by. It is sung by a woman named Lesley Gore. As I did a little research on what music I wanted, I stumbled across another song she had titled 'You don't own me'. Many of you may know it from the movie First Wives Club.

Its a very powerful song, and I've had the damn thing stuck in my head for the past two weeks.
So in the hopes of getting it out here is a kick-ass live performance by Lesley Gore, singing You Don't Own Me.
